Not to confuse the average blogsurfer who may be confused by the format of this blog, the authors have decided it essential to define the nature and layout of articles presented through this medium. All blog "manuscripts" will be written as per the format required to publish in The Lancet. Posts may be in the form of of an article, editorial, comment, world report, perspectives, obituaries, correspondence, seminars, reviews, series and finally case reports. Where the journal blog (j-blog) will diverge away from Lancet "protocol" is that there will be no word limit (min. or max.) and no limit on how many images permitted to convey the social behavioural display. Guest bloggers may be invited to write articlea however editors reserve the right to edit content and should the article cause any adverse reactions, the editors also reserve the right to remove the post.
Article manuscripts posted will generally be divided into sections: Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion. For other formats please refer to Lancet guidelines: http://download.thelancet.com/flatcontentassets/authors/lancet-information-for-authors.pdf. As a disclaimer to the not-so-clever anthropology students, this is a blog not a published journal...if you're looking for references for your homework use pubmed, sciencedirect, ebnesco and other real search engines you lazy buffoon.
This J-blog will address, as the name may suggest, social, behavioural and cultural associations through concise documentation of interactions between adult individuals. Studies on children will not be permitted - Ethics Committee says No! However perceptions of children between adults is permitted. Healthy swearing and cursing will be encouraged. Articles on excessive alcohol consumption and it's impact on undergrads will be favoured.
